BritAma Sanur Village Festival (Britama SVF) 2017 develops synergy between the community, government, and state owned enterprise (BUMN) to boost the creative economy actor’s productivity and educate the young generation.

This statement was given during the press conference of BritAma SVF 2017 attended by representative from Denpasar City Head of Tourism Office Anak Agung Bagus Sudarsana, Chairman of BritAma SVF Ida Bagus Gede Sidharta Putra and BRI Regional Vice President Bali-Nusra Yoyok Mulawarman ‎at Maya Sanur Resort, Monday (7/8/2017). BritAma SVF will be opened by the Tourism Minister Arief Yahya on Wednesday (9/8) night and the festival will be held for 5 days until August 13.

According to Sudarsana, the three strategic components are Yayasan Pembangunan Sanur as the organizer for BritAma ‎SVF, Denpasar City government and Bank BRI as one of the state-owned enterprise, hand in hand presenting a festival packed with economic, social, environmental and art cultural activities. Aside from promoting destination, this event also supports community economy and welfare.

Denpasar City government further budgeted funding for infrastructure preparation and festival facilities, such as stage, public toilet, sanitation and more.

“We hope the Sanur village activity can contribute to Bali and national scale tourism, and improving real economy for all levels of community,” he adds.

According to Sidharta Putra, the festival entering its 12th year has embraced creative economy actors to present ideas and products during the performance, exhibition, workshop and many activities during the festival duration. Many young talents join the festivities that attract thousands of visitors daily.

To maintain its existence and quality, Sidharta Putra or better known as Gusde always involved experts to curate. For selection of cultural art for example, the committee always involves senior artists to determine which group can perform. “For music, we are assisted by musician Indra Lesmana to select performances on the main stage,” he says.

Gusde mentions, aside from curating, performer regeneration is also done. “And, more importantly we research market trends‎, so we can present what is currently liked by the public,” says Gusde.

Gusde who is also the head of Bali tourism promotion board (Badan Promosi Pariwisata Daerah / BPPD) for Denpasar City said that SVF has produced “repeater guests”. This is shown from hotel bookings and rescheduling of tourists, following the festival dates.

Meanwhile, BRI Regional Vice President Bali-Nusra Yoyok Mulawarman‎ says BRI has supported SVF since 2010 and this time they want to optimize the non cash transaction service.”All transactions in the festival area will be cashless, using digital card or electronic money,” he claims.

Visitors using Brizzi Card electronic money will receive various bonuses and prizes. Yoyok says this offer is provided to visitors that open a BRI BritAma account, register for e-banking, apply credit card or purchase a Brizzi card.

Furthermore, Bank BRI will appoint 146 Small medium enterprises and cooperatives /SME&C (33 SME’s among them are educated by BRI) through product exhibition during the festival. “Through this festival we hope to increase the fee-based income and develop other business potentials linked to SME&C,” said Yoyok.
